Strengthens Collaboration at June 2026 Members Gathering

On 19 June 2026, the Ubud Hotel Association (UHA) hosted its June Members Gathering, bringing together representatives from member hotels across Ubud and the wider Gianyar region. The gathering provided an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen collaboration, and introduce the association's strategic direction under its newly appointed 2026–2028 Board of Management.

More than a networking event, the gathering marked the beginning of a new leadership period, giving members the opportunity to learn about UHA's vision, upcoming programs, and priorities for the years ahead. Guided by its commitment to supporting the sustainable growth of member hotels, UHA continues to serve as a platform for collaboration through professional development, strategic partnerships, advocacy, and shared industry initiatives.

Introducing the 2026–2028 Roadmap

A key highlight of the gathering was the presentation of UHA's roadmap for the 2026–2028 term. The Board introduced its planned programs and shared how the association aims to create greater value for members through training opportunities, networking events, collaborative marketing initiatives, and stronger engagement with tourism stakeholders. The session also encouraged open dialogue between the Board and members, allowing participants to exchange ideas, provide feedback, and discuss opportunities to strengthen the hospitality industry together. The gathering also marked the official welcome of UHA's newest members, bringing the association's total membership to 128 hotels and hospitality businesses as of June 2026. This continued growth reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger and more connected hospitality community in Ubud.

Sharing Knowledge for Sustainable Hospitality

As part of UHA's ongoing commitment to supporting its members, the gathering featured an educational session focused on sustainability in hotel operations, particularly responsible waste management and water quality.

These topics are becoming increasingly important as Ubud continues to grow as one of Bali's leading cultural and wellness destinations. Protecting the natural environment while maintaining high operational standards is essential not only for the hospitality industry but also for preserving the visitor experience and supporting the well-being of local communities.

The educational session featured invited speakers from Limbah.id and Pureve Indonesia, who shared industry perspectives on sustainable hospitality practices. This was followed by an interactive discussion, giving members the opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions, and explore practical approaches that could be implemented within their own properties. Adding valuable real-world perspective, one of UHA's member properties also shared its experience in implementing sustainable operational practices. The discussion offered practical insights into both the opportunities and challenges of adopting these initiatives, encouraging members to learn from one another through shared experiences.

Building a Stronger Hospitality Community

Beyond the presentations, the gathering reinforced one of UHA's core values: collaboration. By bringing members together on a regular basis, the association continues to create opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and meaningful conversations that support the long-term development of Ubud's hospitality industry. The afternoon concluded with an informal networking session, supported by Hatten Wines, allowing members to continue conversations and strengthen professional relationships in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Looking Ahead Together

The June Members Gathering marked an important first step for the UHA Board of Management as it begins its 2026–2028 leadership term. By introducing its strategic direction, welcoming new members, and facilitating discussions on current industry topics, UHA reaffirmed its commitment to creating long-term value for its members and the wider hospitality community.

As the association moves forward with its upcoming programs and initiatives, collaboration will remain at the heart of its mission. Together with its growing network of 128 member hotels and hospitality businesses, UHA will continue supporting a hospitality industry that is professional, connected, and committed to preserving the cultural and natural heritage that makes Ubud a truly distinctive destination.
